We All Need A Little Peace

Did you know that stress is also referred to as the fight-or-flight response???
The flight -or-flight response is automatic and immediate when we sense that we are threatened by something or someone. Stress is your reaction to perceived demands or threats. And
you reduce stress by changing your reactions to perceived demands and threats....

In life we may all encounter moments where we are feeling a little discouraged, depressed, overwhelmed, stressed and etc.

So how do we deal with these times of trouble and tribulations.???

Well first, we have to learn how to accept reality for what it really is. When you dwell on a situation you have no control over you become frustrated, when it is best to just accept the situation for what it is and move on. Instead of building up stress, we have to learn how to let go sometimes and just worry about what we can control on our behalf.

There are a lot of healthy ways to cope with stress. The first step is taking care of yourself.
It is important that you maintain a healthy diet, get plenty of rest, and knowing your limit. It is also important to talk to others that will give you some motivation and encouragement.
Share your problems and emotions with a family, friend, or any loved one that will be able to give you the support you need.  Sometimes when we are overwhelmed, we have habits of pushing away loved ones and those who may genuinely care. But we have to learn how to be open and honest with our feelings in order to move past a situation, and isolation never really helps.

It is also important that we identify our stressors . When we are aware of the things that may be causing us stress, it allows us to find a solution that can change the situation. With that being said, change is strong key word. What are some things that you can change to make the  situation better?

It is also good to be aware of your stress signals. How does your body react to stress? This is important for us to know because when we detect these signals we can easily prevent stress build-up by engaging in more positive activities and shifting our focus.
